Komik which translates into ‘Snow Cock’ is Asia’s highest village that sits at 15,000 ft above sea level. It inhabits not more than 100 people and has an air of traditionality. Only about 20 km away from Kaza, Komik is accessible by bus or taxi. It’s a beautiful town with a monastery and several other small tourist spots.

Spiti Jeep Safari


Day 1: Manali to Kunzum La - Losar - Kaza

Drive: 183 km

Meal Included: Dinner

Stay Type: Stay at a guest house on a double/triple sharing basis

  • Good morning people! Welcome to the most beautiful town of Himachal Pradesh. Today we are going to drive from Manali to Kaza via Kunzum La pass. Report at the Moustache Hostel by 10 am and gather for a small briefing session.
  • Once you are through with the briefing, start your drive. Fortunately, now we have got the Atal Tunnel which if you know is the highest in the world. Go through the tunnel and enjoy the ultra modern architecture.
  • Post crossing the Atal Tunnel, you will drive through the different shades of the brown mountain towards Chatru. If it is mid-summer, the snow would have already melted, hence the mountains look exactly like they look in Ladakh. Bare brown.
  • A few more km into the drive, you ascend to Kunjum Pass situated at an altitude of 14,930 ft. Enjoy some time around the pass and then start your descent to the Spiti Valley.
  • After a scenic drive, you will reach Kaza by evening. Settled yourself in the allotted guest house and relax. We will have your dinner sorted already so you don't have to worry about your food.


Day 2: Kaza - Langza - Hikkim - Komik - Ki Monastery - Kibber - Gette - Kaza

Drive: 80 km

  • Wake up fresh to the beautiful Spiti morning. Go have a short morning walk around the town and then savor the steaming breakfast. The speciality of today’s day is that you will be visiting some of the historical and world highest places.
  • Firstly we drive to Komik, the highest village in Asia. Komik translates to Snow Cock. This village is inhabited only by 200 and is extremely traditional.
  • Post-Komic village, you will drive to Hikkim, which is famous for the world's highest operational post office, situated at an altitude of 14,400 ft.
  • After visiting Hikkim, head to the Key Monastery. Monastery’s atmosphere always remains very peaceful, so take some time off and sit in peace.
  • After Key Monastery, drive down to the picturesque village of Kibber. Enjoy the vibe offered here.
  • Now you will move towards the Gette village. The village offers stunning aerial views of Kaza and some parts of Spiti Valley. You will also find a series of flags tied there as prayers. Wouldn’t you want to tie your own flag?
  • Post the Gette spot, it's time to drive back to Kaza. We hope you had a mesmerizing drive all through the day. Well, Spiti valley is also about these drives. Sometimes you get the most splendid views of the mountains.


Day 3: Kaza to Pin valley - Kungri - Mudh and back to Kaza:

Drive: 100 km

  • Hey people, we hope you having fun! Wake up to a beautiful morning. Get ready and devour your breakfast. Today we will be visiting the nearby Pin Valley.
  • Today’s drive is going to be mostly stunning and scenic. You will go through various dense forests and open valleys.
  • First we will take you to the Kungri Monastery which is the 2nd oldest monastery of Spiti. Take your time and go around the place. Enjoy at your own convenience.
  • Post the Kungi Monastery you visit the last motorable village in the Pin Valley - The Mudh Village. Being at the top of the world, the village is sparsely populated.
  • After you had fun at the village, start your drive back to Kaza. The drive is going to be on the same route. On arriving back at the guest house, the rest of the day is on you. You can come out and play games with your fellas or relax in the room.
  • Have your steaming dinner and sleep a sound night.


Day 4: Kaza to Tabo - Dhankar - Lhalung:

Drive: 40 km

Meal Included: Breakfast - Dinner

Stay Type: Stay at a Home Stay on a double/triple sharing basis.

  • Today we are going to visit the other town of the Spiti Valley. Tabo is also known as “Ajanta of Himalayas'' and is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is famous for ancient paintings and has the 1020 years old Tabo Monastery.
  • After Tabo you will be driven to Dhankar village from there you will hike for 5 km to visit the majestic Dhankar Lake. The area around the lake itself becomes very pleasant and serene. You can spend as much time as you want near the lake and enjoy the views from that height.
  • After Dhankar, you will visit the Lhalung village of Spiti Valley. Explore the unique culture and traditions of this village.
  • Once you have had fun at the village, we will move to our allocated guest house. Get your room and settle for the day. Devour your steaming dinner and sleep a good night.


Day 5: Lhalung to Losar - Kunjum La - Chandratal Lake, overnight near Chandratal:

Drive: 100 km

Meal Included: Breakfast - Dinner

Stay Type: Stay at camps on a double/triple sharing basis.


  • Today, it’s time to visit the most beautiful sight of the entire tour. Wake up and get ready. On our way to Manali, we will turn towards the Chandratal Lake. This is the last wonder of this enchanting valley.
  • This lake is located at an altitude of 14,100 ft. that offers complimentary views of the whole of Himalayas.
  • After you have spent your lovely time at the lake, hop in the car and drive to the camping site. Spend your night right under the skies.


Day 6: Chandratal to Manali, via Atal Tunnel:

Drive: 250 km

Meal Included: Breakfast - Dinner

Stay Type: Stay at Guest House on a double/triple sharing basis.


Wake up to a chilly morning, have your breakfast at the campsite with the last Spitian views.

It’s time to head back from where we started. The drive back to Manali will take about 5-6 hours in total. You will drive through the new inaugurated Atal Tunnel.

After you have reached Manali, report at the guest house and settle in your rooms. If you wish, you can go and explore the beautiful town.

Savor the dinner and sleep a sound night.


Day 7: Departure:

Wake up and have your breakfast. It’s time to say goodbye. Moustache sincerely thanks for choosing us and giving us this opportunity to serve you better.

Air: Take a flight to Kullu airport and book a cab to Manali, if not possible you can book a flight to Delhi or Chandigarh and board a volvo to Manali.

Road: The volvo transfers are available from Delhi as well as from Chandigarh.

Rail: Take a train to Chandigarh railway station and from there book a private or shared cab to Manali.

1. You will be greeted by our trek team with a welcome drink on your arrival to Manali campsite.

2. All stays included from Kaza to Manali on sharing basis:

 (i) Stay in guest house from Day 1 to Day 3 and Day 6

 (ii) Stay in homestay on Day 4.

 (iii) Stay in tents on Day 5

3. All meals included from Day 1 dinner to Day 7 breakfast. Vegetarian meals will be served throughout the trek.

3. In case if your trek remains incomplete or uninitiated because of "force majeure", medical emergency or by personal choice after you arrive at the starting point, you will not be able to get refund, reschedule or replace any services that remain unutilized by you.

4. Any additional cost incurred due to changes in Government Guidelines related to travel/trek/COVID-19 will be borne by the Guest.

5. Anything which is not included in Inclusion.

6. Separate arrangements over accommodation on request, will be charged extra.

1. If cancellations are made 25 days prior to the start date of your trek/tour/activity, no cancellation fee will be charged.

2. If cancellations are made between 4-25 days prior to the start date of your trek/tour/activity, EITHER 75% of the total booking amount will be returned to the guest (25% of the total booking amount will be charged as cancellation fee) OR whole advance amount can be adjusted against any trek within next 12 months.

3. If cancellations are made within 4 days from the start date of your trek/tour/activity, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

4. If you book the tour/trek/activity by making a partial payment of the total booking amount and fail to make the 100% payment before 30 days from the date of travel. In this case, your booking will get canceled automatically and can only be reconfirmed once you make the full payment, depending on the availability of slots.

5. In case if your tour/trek/activity remains incomplete or uninitiated because of "force majeure", medical emergency, government policy changes, local strikes, or by personal choice after you arrive at the starting point, you will not be able to get a refund, reschedule or replace any services that remain underutilized by you.

6. Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

7. The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
